How Do We Let Entrepreneurs Be Entrepreneurs?

There’s lots of discussion these days about stimulating jobs.  One critical report from the Kauffman Foundation stated clearly that firms one to five years old account for two thirds of all jobs creation.  So, what is government’s role to stimulate job growth based on this data?

Maine Governor Paul LePage cut to the chase in his state of the state address: “As governor, “I cannot directly create private sector jobs.”  So, how does government indirectly stimulate young firms to found themselves and grow jobs?  Current programs range from building new infrastructure to cutting taxes – do either stimulate start-ups?  This article might hit your state’s plans.
